Clouds

As a little girl my
wife thought aeroplanes
made them with their
trails of vapour.

Joni looked at them
from both sides. Where
I am standing they are
still, as if aware of being

Watched which means
these eyes as blue as the
enveloping backdrop, are
being deceived, innocently.

Convoys of cotton Elephants
dressed as Dragons gently
lilt across the view stage right.
Breathing in the breeze

A tinge of satisfaction
fills my skull with
a lovely fuzzy feeling:
the endlessness of possibility.
