Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ

As part of the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Four Britain in Pictures series presenter and photographer Tom Ang invited three photographers to capture the best of the East Region. Nick Woods, Sam Faulkner and Francis Kearney have each been challenged to capture shots ofΜύ significant buildings using today's digital technology.

Nick Wood has been a leading proponent of digital photography since its advent. He is known mostly for his architectural images. Nick uses a prosumer camera to photograph three buildings in and around his birthplace of Burnham on Crouch – the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club, his own self-built zero emissions house and Bradwell Power Station.

Sam Faulkner is a photojournalist who is now more at home travelling the world, working in war zones and trouble spots, than in the place he was born, Norwich. Sam makes a journey back to his hometown and using a top of the range DSLRΜύ camera he photographs the ziggurats at the University of East Anglia, Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach and the disused airfield that is now home to Lotus cars.

Francis Kearney is a fine-art photographer who uses a medium-format camera to create her trademark large-scale images. Now she is using a compact zoom camera to capture Blakeney Lifeboat house, a building familiar to her since childhood, the disused Cockthorpe Dome and a Blakeney Housing Society cottage in Wiveton.
