There's some big news for Minecraft fans - the first official trailer for the upcoming live-action movie has been released.

A Minecraft Movie follows a group of human misfits who find themselves in a strange CGI universe after being pulled through a mysterious portal.

The gang end up in the Overworld, a crazy colourful cube-filled land driven by imagination.

They have to come together, alongside expert crafter Steve, to master their wacky new world and get back home, and they learn lots about themselves on the way.

The movie features some big stars including actor Jack Black who plays Steve and Aquaman's Jason Mamoa who plays Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison.

Emma Myers and Danielle Brookes play Natalie and Dawn, and Sebastian Eugene Hansen plays the character Henry.

There's still lots we don't know about the upcoming film which comes out in April next year, but one thing is certain - there'll be a whole lot of building!
