It's an exciting time for Taylor Swift fans as the star kicks off the UK performances of her Eras Tour this week.

One Swiftie who is certainly spreading some joy is 11-year-old Devon. She's made hundreds of friendship bracelets to donate to people in care homes.

Devon says she came up with the idea to give out the hand-made bracelets after seeing how happy her 92-year-old great-grandmother Margaret was with the one she gave to her.

The Taylor Swift fan hopes to inspire all generations to get involved in the bracelet craze.

Why are Taylor Swift fans making friendship bracelets?

Inspired by a lyric in Swift's song 'You're On Your Own, Kid', fans worldwide have been making and trading friendship bracelets at every date on the 152-show tour as a way to make new friends.

Devon has spent more than 50 hours making the bracelets so far and has made 260, but plans to make more this week after school.

Devon says she's excited to see Tay-Tay and trade bracelets when she comes to Edinburgh.

Devon said it's been fun to talk to her great-grandma about Taylor and the tour, and that she hopes the people she gives the bracelets to will become Swifties too.

She said: "After I made the bracelet for my great-grandma, I realised that a lot of older people don't have grandchildren or great-grandchildren to make nice things for them.

"The whole of Edinburgh is going to be buzzing that weekend and I wanted to make sure that everyone gets to be part of that excitement."

Devon hopes the bracelets can be shared between staff and people living at the care homes so they can make new friends.

She'll be visiting some of them to hand out the bracelets and speak with residents.
