England and Manchester City midfielder Jack Grealish says getting booed on the pitch confuses him, but he tries to take it as a compliment.

In an interview with his club Manchester City, Grealish admits that even his Mum asks him why opposition fans always boo him.

It was definitely no exception when he played against his former team, Aston Villa, this week.

The midfielder was jeered when he was on the ball, by the fans who used to support him.

How does Grealish cope with getting booed?

Grealish admits he isn't "entirely sure" why he has become a target for supporters at most away fixtures this season.

He's battled injuries this season, but is hoping to be an important part of the England squad at the European Championships this summer.

The Man City star says he "often thinks about it [the booing]" and that family members ask him about it.

But as a way of dealing with it, Grealish says he tries to turn it into a positive thing or a "compliment" meaning that other teams fans are worried about how good he is.
