The second episode of Gladiators dropped last night and what a night it was.

Some brand new challenges dropped this week including nail-biting The Edge where competitors had to travel across a thin grid high up in the air. Falling would get you stuck in a net.

Four new competitors Jake, John, Zoe and Marie-Louise battled it out against some very fierce gladiators including two who made their first show appearance - Bionic and Comet.

John was disqualified from the Duel event for not attacking gladiator Bionic with his pugil stick.

While Zoe was disqualified in the same event against Diamond for stepping on to the gladiator's platform.

And tempers rose when Viper smashed Bradley Walsh's microphone in anger and two of the contestants lost a shoe in the climbing challenge!

Jake and Marie-Louise emerged as the episode's male and female winners.

This means they've made it through to this series quarter-finals after a gruelling five rounds against the gladiators before a final head-to-head run on the Eliminator.
