A new report says some supermarkets are using even more single-use plastic than last year.

Greenpeace and the Environmental Investigation Agency (EIA) say seven out of the 10 big supermarkets in the UK increased their plastic footprint.

Only three of those supermarkets managed to achieve "marginal" reductions.

Lots of supermarkets have said they're trying to reduce their use of single-use plastic.

And some have said they'll stop using something called black plastic completely by the end of this year.

There are lots of ways that you can ditch your single-use plastic, too.

Fiona Nicholls, from Greenpeace UK, said: "Supermarkets are failing on plastics and failing their customers.

"We hear piecemeal supermarket announcements on plastic every other week, but in reality they are putting more plastic on the shelves than ever.

"Supermarkets need to buck up and think bigger. They must change their stores to offer loose food dispensers, reusable packaging, and move away from throwaway packaging altogether."
