The Duchess of Cambridge has given birth to a baby boy!

The new Prince, who hasn't yet been given a name, was born on Monday.

His birth was welcomed with a traditional Royal Gun Salute, where special guns pulled by horses fire blanks, making a very loud noise and sending a puff of white smoke into the air.

The first the world heard that the baby was on his way on the morning of 23 April, when Kensington Palace posted on social media, saying: "Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was admitted to St Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London earlier this morning in the early stages of labour.
