Scientists say they've had a huge breakthrough in mobile download speeds.

5G is the next big thing in mobile tech after 4G, and researchers say they've managed to get a 5G data connection speed of one terabit per second (Tbps).

That's more than 65,000 times faster than average 4G download speeds and at 1Tbps, you could download 100 full-length movies in about three seconds!

But the researchers say they still need to see whether they can get this high speed in real-world conditions.

They say they want to carry out more tests around the grounds of their university, the University of Surrey, before going public.

5G could be available in Britain by 2020.
