Flood alerts have been issued across Wales due to rising "supertides".

Natural Resources Wales has warned of "dangerous conditions" that could see tides breach sea and river defences.

There are in place for coastlines in north, mid and south Wales, but roads that were closed due to the waves have now reopened.

Spring tides reach the peak of an 18-and-a-half year cycle on Saturday, with south Wales likely to be most affected.

The flood alerts are in place for the east coast of Anglesey, Swansea Bay, Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion, Aberthaw to the Severn Bridge, the Usk estuary around Newport, Monmouthshire, the Llyn peninsula and Cardigan Bay, Carmarthenshire and Crofty.

The A487 was shut at Newgale in Pembrokeshire on Friday and the A466 at Tintern in Monmouthshire was closed on Saturday.

Both roads are now open, according to Traffic Wales.
