Police name pedestrian killed in country road crash near Beith
A pedestrian who died after he was involved in a collision with a Land Rover has been named by police.
Derek Logan, 46, from the North Ayrshire area, was critically injured on the A737, south of Beith, on 20 December.
Officers said the incident happened at about 22:45 and Mr Logan was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sgt Brian Simpson urged anyone with information or dash cam footage to .
He said: "Our thoughts remain with Mr Logan's family and friends at this difficult time and they have asked for privacy."
