Operation Maple to tackle crime in Aberdeen
Police have launched a major crackdown on drugs, violence and anti-social behaviour across Aberdeen.
Dozens of officers from Grampian Police are to target various addresses in the intelligence-led operation over the coming days.
The force said it had been launched in response to feedback from local residents about issues that worry them.
NHS Grampian, Aberdeen City Council and Grampian Fire and Rescue Service are also involved in the operation.
Ch Supt Adrian Watson, of Grampian Police, said: "We've shared information with our colleagues in the other services on where our challenges lie in the city.
"Now we're working together to reduce the problems of drink and drug abuse, anti-social behaviour and violence."
