Teenager charged over Rutherglen station stabbing
A 14-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder after another teenager was stabbed at a railway station.
The incident took place at Rutherglen station in South Lanarkshire shortly after 17:00 on Monday.
The British Transport Police said the victim suffered serious injuries to his chest and lower body. He continues to be treated in hospital.
Two boys aged 14 and 18 were arrested following the incident.
The 14-year-old, from Glasgow, has since been charged with attempted murder and is expected to appear at the city's sheriff court on Wednesday.
The 18-year-old has been released without charge.
