Londonderry: Masonry thrown at police during disorder
A large group of young people have been involved in public disorder in Londonderry during which masonry was thrown at officers, police have said.
There were no reports of injuries but a number of police vehicles were damaged during the incident in Lone Moor Road on Friday evening.
Officers were responding to disorder after a football match when they came under attack.
The group later dispersed but police remained in the area.
"Footage obtained by our evidence gathering team will form part of the investigation," a police spokesperson said.
Derry City played a Premier Division match against Shamrock Rovers on Friday evening, losing 3-1 to the Dublin side.
