A man who was arrested over a spate of racially-motivated crimes against a local business owner in Sandy Row in Belfast has been released on bail.

The 56-year-old man was detained on Saturday on suspicion of arson, threats to damage property, harassment and intimidation and a threat to kill.

The shutters of a shop in Sandy Row were set on fire on two consecutive nights in April.

The suspect was released pending further police inquiries.
