A man has had his ear bitten during an assault outside a bar in Londonderry city centre.

Two men, aged in their 20s, were injured during the incident in the Diamond area of the city at about 00:30 BST on Thursday.

The police said they received a report that one man was punched and sustained facial injuries and another man is said to have had his ear bitten.

They have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
