Â鶹ԼÅÄ presenter Donna Traynor has announced she has resigned from the corporation.

In a statement on social media, Ms Traynor said she was stepping down with immediate effect after almost 33 years at Â鶹ԼÅÄ Northern Ireland.

She said it was with "deep sadness" that she was leaving the job she loved.

Ms Traynor said she could not comment further as the issue was the subject of an ongoing employment tribunal and legal proceedings.

A Â鶹ԼÅÄ spokesperson said: "We do not comment on individual staff matters."

Ms Traynor joined the Â鶹ԼÅÄ in 1989 and presented radio news bulletins before moving into television.
