Gosforth: Man arrested after woman found with serious head injuries
A man has been arrested after a woman was found with "significant" head injuries in a Newcastle street.
Officers were told that a person had been injured in Graham Park Road, Gosforth, at 21:00 GMT on Tuesday.
Northumbria Police said it had been reported that a man "put the woman into a vehicle" and she was then taken to hospital.
A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and is custody.
Police said it was believed that those involved were known to each other.
