A stalker who sent his ex-girlfriend unwanted explicit images of himself has been jailed for 18 months.

Nottinghamshire Police said Matthew Stuart continually messaged and called his victim before threatening to kick her front door in and assault her.

He also hacked into her Facebook account, spat in her face, and threw concrete at her home, the force added.

The 35-year-old, from Worksop, pleaded guilty to stalking involving serious alarm and distress, and common assault.

Stuart, of Oberston View, was also handed a restraining order when he was sentenced at Nottingham Crown Court on Tuesday.

PC Harriet Sindall said: "The victim in this case suffered a prolonged campaign of harassment at Stuart's hands and was understandably extremely fearful of his actions.

"His behaviour was utterly unacceptable."
