Seaforth pub's licence suspended after armed brawl

Eight people went into the Caradoc Hotel armed with a knife, bar and bricks, police say
A pub has had its licence suspended after a brawl involving an armed gang.
One man was knocked unconscious during the incident at the Caradoc Hotel in Seaforth, Sefton, at 01:35 GMT on Saturday, 24 February.
Merseyside Police applied for the temporary suspension, granted by Sefton Council ahead of a full review.
Detectives said eight people went the pub, including one armed with a knife, one with a bar and two with bricks, and fought with another group.
The force said CCTV footage had also revealed drug use and the pub serving alcohol past its midnight closing time.
No arrests have been made so far.
Local policing Supt Paul Holden said the incident left the force with "no option" but to make the application.
He added that officers would work with the bar owners to address their concerns ahead of the full hearing.
The future of the pub's licence will be decided by Sefton's licensing sub-committee later this month.
