Lincoln university student died after drinking too much, inquest told
A university student died from the effects of drinking too much alcohol, an inquest has heard.
Alfie Head, from Hertford, who studied at the University of Lincoln, died on 14 November.
An inquest opening at Lincoln Coroner's Court was told the 18-year-old died as a result of acute alcohol toxicity.
No further details about the circumstances of his death were given in court and the inquest was adjourned until 15 May next year.
In a statement, the university and students' union offered their condolences to Alfie's family and friends, and said support would be offered to those affected.
