Police have been given more time to question two men arrested under the Terrorism Act in Huddersfield and Sheffield.

Three men were detained following a series of raids in Yorkshire on Thursday.

A 23-year-old from Sheffield arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender was later released under investigation.

Two men, aged 24 and 29, arrested on suspicion of terror offences can now be held by police until Thursday.

The raids took place at the Daisy Spring Works apartment block in Kelham Island, Sheffield and in Rudding Street in Crosland Moor, Huddersfield.

Police said the arrests were not linked to the recent Manchester Arena attack.
