A senior Morrisons employee accused of abusing his position to fraudulently disclose personal employee data at the supermarket chain is to stand trial on 13 July.

Andrew Skelton, 43, of Water Street, Liverpool, pleaded not guilty to three charges at Bradford Crown Court.

The offences are alleged to have taken place between November 2013 and March last year.

Judge Roger Thomas QC, said the trial would last five days at the same court.

Mr Skelton, a senior internal auditor, is accused of using a computer to gain unauthorised access to a programme or data with the intent to commit fraud, knowingly or recklessly disclosing personal data, and conspiring to commit fraud by abusing his position.

He sat in the dock wearing a dark suit, pink shirt, purple tie and navy blue overcoat, and spoke only to confirm his name and that he understood what had been discussed in court.

The 43-year-old was released on bail until his trial date.
