All lanes have reopened on the M5 after emergency barrier repairs were carried out overnight following a crash.
Lane closures and speed restrictions had been put in place between junctions 13 (Stroudwater) and 14 (Falfield), at about 21:00 BST on Wednesday.
Traffic had originally been held in the area, with police warning of three miles of congestion in the area. All lanes were reopened by 03:00 BST.
The driver of the car involved in the single-vehicle was uninjured.
Gloucestershire Police asked motorists to be mindful of weather conditions and standing water.
