Cheltenham: Man left injured after being bitten on the face
A man has suffered injuries to his face after he was bitten by another man during an altercation.
The incident happened on the Promenade near to the taxi rank in Cheltenham at about 02:00 BST on Sunday 1 October.
The victim, 27, was left with a deep laceration on his face which required medical treatment, police said.
A 25-year-old man from Stroud was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. He was later released on police bail.
Gloucestershire Police said the victim had been walking through the town centre when a verbal altercation started with two other men.
This turned physical, and while grappling on the ground one of the men bit the victim on the face, a spokesman for the force added.
Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident.
