Vigil for Gloucestershire man shot dead 20 years ago

The family of a man shot dead at his Gloucestershire farm 20 years ago are marking the anniversary with a 12-hour vigil on the spot where he died.

Tony Alliss died of gunshot wounds in Penn Woods, near Stroud, following a long-running boundary dispute.

His neighbours - father and son Terence and Graig Maule - were cleared of murder and a civil claim for damages against them also failed.

Mr Alliss's family claims there are flaws in the judicial system.

His widow Marilyn and brother Bob travelled to London in 2008 calling for a 'not decided' verdict to be introduced into English law.

A judge at Bristol Crown Court ruled in 1991 that there was no case to answer, clearing the Maules of involvement in the killing.
