Sixpenny Handley: Motorcyclist dies in A354 crash

A motorcyclist has died following a crash in North Dorset.

Dorset Police said the crash, involving a grey Kawasaki motorcycle, happened on the A354 near Sixpenny Handley shortly after 06:00 BST.

The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 60s from Dorchester, died at the scene. His family has been informed.

The force has appealed for witnesses and dashcam footage. The road remained closed on Sunday between Cashmoor and the Handley Cross roundabout.

Sgt Dave Cotterill said: "Our thoughts are with the loved ones of the man who sadly died in this collision, and we are conducting inquiries to establish the full circumstances of the incident."
