A "substantial" cannabis grow was discovered by police after a fire broke out at a flat.

Emergency services were called to the property in High Street, Alfreton, Derbyshire, at 01:45 GMT on Sunday.

Derbyshire Police said that no-one was injured in the blaze, which was extinguished by the fire service.

The road was closed until Monday while National Grid worked to cut power to the property after the cannabis grow was found by officers.
