Man charged over Reading hotel rape
Update 15th November 2022: On the 31st March 2016 this case was discontinued at Reading Crown Court because there was not enough evidence for realistic prospect of conviction.
A man has been charged with raping a woman in a hotel in Reading.
Kevin Breedon was charged with raping a woman in the Hillingdon Prince Hotel in Christchurch Road in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The 39 year old, of Great High Ground in St Neots, Cambridgeshire, appeared at Reading Magistrates' Court on Monday.
The victim was in her early 20s and police are appealing for guests at the hotel to come forward.
Det Sgt John Yallop said: "There may be other people who were in the hotel, either at the bar or in bedrooms, who may have seen or heard something which could help us with our investigation."
