The car in which Tupac Shakur was shot in has gone up for sale on a US auction website.

The BMW 7 series is listed at $1.5m (£1.2m).

It was covered in bullet holes from the Las Vegas shooting which killed the musician in September 1996.

It's not clear exactly who has owned the vehicle over the last 20 years, but all the holes have now been repaired and it has clocked up almost 100,000 miles.

Moments in Time, the auction site, say the authenticity of all material they sell is "guaranteed without time limitations".

The car's registration details are also shown, which are originally credited to Death Row Records, who represented Tupac.

He was taken to hospital and put on life support, but died six days later aged just 25.

Death Row Records co-founder Suge Knight was in the BMW when Tupac was shot by a gunman in another vehicle.

The killer has never been found.
