Adele has already called off shows in Plymouth and Bournemouth

Adele has been forced to postpone two more shows on her UK tour, tonight in Cardiff and tomorrow in Blackpool.

The singer has already pulled out of two concerts in Plymouth and Bournemouth on doctors' orders.

It's because the 23-year-old has been suffering with a "severe cold and chest infection".

The cancelled dates will be rescheduled and the tour is currently set to resume at Wolverhampton's Civic Hall on Saturday.

She briefly appeared at the Mercury Prize awards on Tuesday, where she made a short speech on stage but did not perform or speak to the media.

A statement said: "She had cancelled her performance at the Mercury Awards last night in the hope she would be able to continue her live dates, but has been told by her doctors that she is still not well enough to perform."

Her album 21, which lost out to PJ Harvey's Let England Shake for the critics' prize, has now sold three million copies in the UK.

According to the official charts company she is the first artist to hit that landmark in sales in one year.

The Grammy-winner's hits include Rolling In The Deep and Someone Like You.
