Gary Barlow has teamed up with fellow X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos for the next Children In Need single.

The Take That star says he's giving the annual charity track a "credible makeover" by recruiting current chart acts.

Tinchy Stryder, Chipmunk and Wretch 32, who's at number one in the singles chart with Don't Go, all appear on a cover of Massive Attack's Teardrop.

It will be released just before the live �鶹Լ�� TV broadcast on 18 November.

The fundraising single often has a comedy or novelty element but Gary Barlow says this year he wanted to attract a range of younger, grime acts.

'More urban'

The original version of Teardrop has been sampled and the lyrics adapted by Wretch 32, among others.

Tulisa, a member of N-Dubz, told Radio 1 DJ Fearne Cotton it was fun to work with artists she already knows.

She said: "[It's] good to be back with the grime crew, the urban family.

"The track itself is really different but current and I think it's going to work."

Producer and singer Labrinth, who was behind Tinie Tempah's Brit award-winning single Pass Out, has worked on the track.

Labrinth said: "It's not a your usual cheesy or comical Children In Need record. It's a bit more meaningful.

"Gary wanted it to be more urban, which is why he came to me, and I've worked with most of the artists.

"He wanted it to be an honest record and come from somewhere else.

"People are saying it's the coolest Children In Need record ever. That sounds kind of nice."

Ed Sheeran and Rizzle Kicks also feature on the track.
