The future of Fall Out Boy is in doubt after bass player Pete Wentz blogged saying he "can't predict that I'd ever play in Fall Out Boy again".

In November 2009 the emo-rockers said they were taking "a break with an indefinite date when they're coming back."

However, writing on Monday [1 Feb] on his blog Wentz said: "As a band we grew apart," adding, "if this is our legacy than so be it."

Responding to Wentz's comments yesterday lead singer Patrick Stump told Spin Magazine: "I'm not in Fall Out Boy right now - but one way or another, the band will always be around."

"I'm really not worried about Fall Out Boy," he added. "I'm so psyched about where I'm at right now, recording this solo album."

The four-piece released their Greatest Hits in November 2009.
