It comes after East Lindsey District Council said it had received "multiple reports" of visitors breaching coronavirus restrictions and local bylaws.

Councillor Colin Davie said: "The coast is not open to holidaymakers and overnight stays have never been permitted.

"It's disappointing some people are exploiting the facilities in this way, when the majority are following the rules.

"Anyone found on the site at night will be reported to Lincolnshire Police."

It applies to five coastal car parks, including Anderby Creek (pictured) and Wolla Bank, near Ingoldmells.

Scientists developing a vaccine against coronavirus are appealing for volunteers from Lincolnshire to take part in a trial.

It's being conducted by experts at Nottingham University Hospitals.

Participants have to be over 18, in good health and be able to attend up to 12 appointments during the year-long study.

The Oxford Vaccine Trial involves thousands of volunteers from across the UK.

Court of Protection judge approves plan for woman with severe learning disability to have teeth out.

From the Housemartins' rendition of Caravan of Love to Everything But The Girl's 90s smash-hit And I Miss You, people living East Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire are being asked to choose their "Humber Anthem" for a new �鶹Լ�� project.

The winning song will then be recorded by the �鶹Լ�� Philharmonic orchestra and added to the "Great Northern Playlist", which will be made up of tracks picked from each of the 10 �鶹Լ�� Local Radio areas in the north of England.

Presenter Kofi Smiles said: “East Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire has produced some phenomenal musicians, from the likes of Everything But the Girl to the Beautiful South.

"We’re sure to get plenty of nominations for tunes by them, but this is about the song that most says Humber to you. Let’s find out once and for all: what is the anthem of Humber?”

Nominations run from today until midday on 28 May and the finished song will be played two weeks later on the �鶹Լ�� Radio Humberside Breakfast Show.

A motorcyclist threw a stone through the windscreen of a woman's car in what police are describing as a "road rage" incident near Lincoln.

It happened at about 22:15 on Wednesday 20 May as the woman was driving her car round the A46 Swinderby roundabout.

The woman and the motorcyclist had been arguing in the minutes leading up to the incident, according to Lincolnshire Police.

Anyone who saw what happened, or who has dash cam footage of the incident, is being asked to contact police.

The planned closure of pharmaceutical firm Novartis' factory in Grimsby won't now take place at the end of the year, it's been confirmed.

Managers say it will extend the manufacture of two products at the factory until the end of next year due to an increase in demand.

Novartis announced in 2018 that it would be closing its Grimsby plant by 2020.

However, it said the decision to delay the closure was reflective of today's changing healthcare needs.

A buyer for the plant is still being sought, the firm added.

Ahead of the Bank Holiday weekend, Lincolnshire's Chief Constable is warning people to stick to social distancing rules and stay at home if possible as the coronavirus pandemic continues.

Bill Skelly says his officers will be patrolling across the county and explaining the restrictions to the few who break the rules.

He says: "Guidelines and restrictions have changed, allowing people to spend more time outside, but the risk from Coronavirus remains.

"These new guidelines mean there is a real focus on an individual’s personal responsibility - to maintain 2m social distancing and to stay at home as much as possible to help prevent the spread of the virus."

Lincolnshire's Burghley Horse Trials has become the latest event to be cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic.

It's the first time the event has been called off since it started almost 60 years ago.

Sir Richard Jewson, chairman of the Burghley Horse Trials Committee, said the decision to cancel was taken with "great disappointment and sadness".

: "We are so appreciative of the support and co-operation we have received at this difficult time.

"We must now focus our efforts on planning the 2021 event," he added.

Next year's trials will take place from Wednesday 1 September to Sunday 5 September, organisers said.

Lincolnshire's Director of Public Health says he expects the number of people dying with Covid-19 will continue to drop in the coming days, after one hospital trust recorded no new deaths for the third day running.

Twenty five patients are currently being treated for coronaviurs in hospitals run by United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust, and 130 people have died.

But the latest figures show there have been no new reported deaths during the past three days.

Officials say the numbers are encouraging but they are taking nothing for granted.

Lincolnshire's Director of Public Health, Professor Derek Ward, said: "We got to the top of our peak quite quickly. It'll be a slower descent and then we'll flatten out and then it will be really, really important that we keep a very close eye on what's happening, in terms of our cases and any new deaths, so we're ready to respond if we need to."

A judge has approved a plan which could lead to a woman with mental health difficulties having all her teeth taken out.

Mrs Justice Gwynneth Knowles, sitting at the Court of Protection, ruled the woman could have a "full dental clearance" to address a long-term problem with her teeth.

Lawyers representing hospital bosses said the issue caused pain, made eating difficult and was leading to weight loss.

The court heard the woman, who is being treated by United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, had a severe learning disability and could behave in a challenging fashion.

The judge concluded that the woman did not have the mental capacity to make decisions about treatment and said the planned treatment, which has been approved by lawyers representing the woman and a relative, was in her best interests.

Developers behind proposals for a £28m animal rendering plant in a Lincolnshire village have announced plans to resubmit plans which now include a new heritage site.

The plan was lodged by Lincoln Proteins Ltd for a site at Villa Farm in Norton Disney and would have seen the firm move from its Skellingthorpe factory.

But Lincolnshire County Council’s planning committee unanimously refused the plan in February following concerns over heritage and location.

There were fears the facility would “overshadow” the Lancaster Bomber gateway sculpture being built off the A46.

Operations manager Alan Asker said: "We are pleased and excited to unveil our improved design which takes into consideration the heritage aspects of recent public opinion, we are looking forward to obtaining their views through further consultation."

When the plans were originally submitted there was objection from both local residents and North Kesteven District Council over odour and location.

The county council received 1,105 letters of objection. However, the developers said they have since made “extensive improvements”.

According to the new plans, the site will include a picnic area, children’s play area, a butterfly garden and a refreshments kiosk.

Further consultation is set to take place later this year before the plans are resubmitted to the county council.
