Woman dies after being hit by car at garden centre

A 59-year-old woman has died after being hit by a car in a garden centre car park.

The incident happened just before 14:30 BST on Sunday at Frosts garden centre in Sandy Road, Willington, Bedfordshire.

The grey Renault Captur was in collision with the pedestrian and two other vehicles, police said.

She became trapped under the car and suffered serious injuries.

She was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, where she died.

Bedfordshire Police is looking for anyone who may have more information or who "left before the police arrived".

Det Supt Craig Wheeler said: "We are hopeful that this appeal may yield more information."

The driver of the Renault is co-operating with the police investigation, the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ understands.
