Redditch United manager Matt Clarke has been charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine and cannabis.

Mr Clarke, 50, from Bromsgrove, is also charged with the possession of an offensive weapon in public and criminal damage to property valued under Β£5,000.

He is set to appear at Worcester Crown Court on 7 May.

In February, Redditch United announced Mr Clarke had taken an "immediate break" from his role due to "personal reasons".

A club statement read: "Matt Clarke will be taking an immediate break from football for personal reasons. At this stage, we anticipate this to be a short break.

"The current backroom staff will be leading the team, and it is expected that this will continue to be the case until Matt’s return."

The ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ has contacted Redditch United for comment.

Mr Clarke appeared at Hereford Magistrates Court on 14 February and Worcester Crown Court on 13 March but did not enter a plea.
