House gas explosion leaves person hurt

A suspected gas explosion at a house has left one person injured.

Firefighters were called to the blast at the home in Glenmore Grove, Dukinfield, Tameside at about 19:15 BST.

One person was hurt but not seriously, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said.

A spokesman said: β€œCrews arrived quickly and used two breathing apparatus and a gas monitor to assess the scene.

"One casualty is being treated by North West Ambulance Service for minor injuries.

β€œFirefighters remain in attendance and are working alongside Cadent Gas to make the area safe.”

Cadent has been contacted for comment.
