The Spark! drumming group will put on two free performances

A street theatre performance will return to Merseyside after being cancelled earlier this year due to poor weather.

Spark! drummers will put on two free performances in Knowsley later in Halewood's Triangle Park at 17:30 and 18:45 BST.

An amber weather warning led to the performance being postponed.

Knowsley Councillor Shelley Powell said it would be a "really unique and special event" as it was the first time Spark! had performed in a green space rather than the town centre.

“We love having Spark! drummers performing in Knowsley, they always draw a big crowd and put on a fabulous show for all ages," she added.

The council advised attendees not to drive to the event due to a lack of parking, and instead encouraged them to walk or take public transport.

Halewood Triangle Café will be open serving refreshments, the council said.
