Police have thanked the public for their help during the search for a missing teenager.

A 14-year-old-girl called Alissa was reported to have been missing from her home in Worcester since Monday.

Her family said she had left a note to say she had gone for a walk to "clear her head" and did not know when she would be back.

West Mercia has since confirmed that she has been found.

Acting Det Insp Ed Jones said: β€œI would like to take this opportunity to thank the public and media for sharing our appeals to help us locate the missing teenager safe and well.”
