Two environmental charities in Jersey have been awarded a total of £38,999

Two environmental charities in Jersey have been awarded a total of £38,999, by the Channel Islands Lottery.
The National Trust for Jersey has been awarded £8,999 and Jersey Trees for Life has been awarded £30,000.
The lottery works closely with local organisations to distribute funding to "worthy charitable causes" across the islands.
Jon Taylor, presiding officer of the Channel Islands Lottery, said they were delighted to support environmental initiatives.
He said: "Funding these dedicated organisations allows us to contribute to the preservation and enhancement of our natural surroundings.
"Their work in protecting wildlife, promoting sustainability and educating the community is vital for the future of our islands, and we are proud to play a part in their efforts."
