Man charged after car gets stuck on tram track

A suspected drink-driver has been charged after a car got stuck on tram tracks.

Nottinghamshire Police said the car became stuck on the Station Street viaduct, in the Weekday Cross area of Nottingham, at about 00:20 GMT on 16 March.

The driver was seen trying to reverse off the track, the force added.

A 24-year-old man has since been charged with driving offences and will appear in court in April.
