Man in court charged with attempted murder

A man has appeared in court over 10 charges including attempted murder and the assault of a police officer.

Andrew Thomson, 31, of Dunnock Close in Hereford, appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

The charges relate to an incident outside the Black Swan Hotel in Leominster, Herefordshire, on 30 May, West Mercia Police said.

Mr Thomson was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Worcester Crown Court on 1 July.

The charges also included possession of an offensive weapon, dangerous driving, and three counts of an attempt to cause grievous bodily harm.
