A man has been left badly shaken after an aggravated burglary in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, police have said.

Five men armed with hammers broke through the front door of a house in Kilmacormick Avenue at around 02:20 BST on Tuesday.

They confronted the man who lives in the house before realising they had entered the wrong address.

The men, who were wearing hoods, made off in a red coloured Mercedes C Class in the direction of the Cornagrade Road.

The police have asked for anyone with information or CCTV footage to get in contact.
