Man, 81, charged with attempted murder

An 81-year-old man has been charged with the attempted murder of a man in Droitwich.

Police were called to Alexander Avenue on Friday 8 December after paramedics attended following the death of a woman, aged 80.

A 45-year-old man was also taken to hospital and remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Ivan Potter, 81, of Alexander Avenue in Droitwich, has been charged with attempted murder and is due to appear at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

Inquiries into the death of the woman are ongoing, West Mercia Police said.
