Two teenagers have been jailed for stabbing a man outside a shop.

Tunuie Linton, 18, and a 17-year-old boy who cannot be named for legal reasons, were sentenced for the attack in Sutton Coldfield on 22 May 2022.

The pair assaulted a 20-year-old man on Churchill Parade and stabbed him in the chest, with the blade missing the victim’s heart by less than one centimetre, police said.

Linton, of Alston Road, Solihull, and the second teenager were arrested and charged following a police investigation.

They both pleaded guilty to wounding and were sentenced to five years in prison at Birmingham Crown Court on 25 April.
