Summer activities announced for 1,500 children
Almost 1,500 summer activity placements for children have been announced by a local council.
The Summer Holiday Activities and Food programme run by Peterborough City Council will offer football activities, arts and crafts and healthy food.
School-aged children can attend, including those with special educational needs and disabilities who are in receipt of free school meals.
Sessions would take place across 45 venues, the council said.
A spokesperson also said eligible children could access up to 16 four-hour sessions at no cost to their family.
John Gregg, director of childrenβs services at the council, said: "If your child is eligible, Iβd encourage you to have a look what is on offer near you."
