Police appeal after video of assault shared online

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 14-year-old girl was assaulted at a skate park in West Sussex.

Emergency services were called to Southgate Skate Park in Crawley at about 19:00 BST on Wednesday.

Two girls, aged 15, and a 13-year-old girl – all from Crawley – were arrested on suspicion of assault and released on bail, pending further enquiries.

β€œPolice are aware of a video which is being shared on social media,” Sussex Police said.

The 14-year-old girl was taken to hospital and has since been discharged.

Sussex Police said an investigation had been launched and asked anyone who witnessed the incident to contact the force.

β€œAnyone who has video footage of the incident is asked to not share it on social media, and to share it with police,” it added.
