Plans for 500 new homes near Bedford have reached the next stage.
The plans relate to a site on Bedford Road in Great Barford, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.
The applicants have asked Bedford Borough Council whether an environmental impact assessment would need to be submitted.
The land at Great Barford West would be developed for residential use for a maximum of 500 dwellings, the plans say.
The site is allocated for development in the Great Barford Neighbourhood Plan.
A development brief would still be required for the the site prior to any planning application being submitted.
Developers have been told that the plans must meet the needs of the wider area as set out by .
