ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Shropshire breakfast presenter Adam Green is set to try and save 1,000 penalty shots for Comic Relief.

He will be in goal against children from St George's Primary School in Telford on Friday morning.

Mr Green said he had been feeling excited about the goalkeeping challenge, but was now "utterly terrified" by the prospect, as some of the children could kick the ball harder than him.

But he hoped he would feel "elation" after accomplishing "something rather daft" for Red Nose Day.

A colleague had been throwing footballs at him in the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Shropshire office in preparation for spending time in goal.

"After the challenge I expect to feel every one of my 43 years physically," the presenter said.

But Comic Relief was a "brilliant cause" and something he had "loved" supporting over the years, from trying stand-up comedy, to carrying a giant red nose around Shropshire by foot or rickshaw.
