Police close part of shopping centre after two stabbed

Two men have been stabbed at a shopping centre, police have said.

Officers have cordoned off a section of Meadowhall, in Sheffield, after the pair were attacked on Tuesday evening.

South Yorkshire Police said the victims, aged 19 and 20, were currently receiving treatment in hospital.

Two men, aged 24 and 20, have been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 assault.

In a statement, the force said: "A cordon remains in place inside part of the shopping centre and enquiries are ongoing."

Photos on social media showed a cordon in place outside The Sunglasses Hut shop, on Meadowhall's upper floor.

The shopping centre was contacted by the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ but declined to comment.
